The energy drilling services provided by Boart Longyear™ involve the exploration and exploitation of non-conventional energy sources such as oil sands, oil shale and coal bed methane. Boart Longyear does not drill for conventional oil or gas, but does provide specialized gas well pre-collaring services.

Our fleet includes equipment able to reach 5000m in depth and others able to do boreholes up to 1.5m in diameter. Or Sonic™ technology can also provide continuous in-situ core samples at or near 100 percent recovery to depth.
